Riptyde has been sucking under more and more unsuspecting listners... be the next one! Although this version of the cover is close to the final one now in release, the ocean scene here depicts one of those legendary waves at the Wedge, a legendary surf spot in OC at the south end of Balboa peninsula in Newport Beach, a wall of water rising up to pull you under and toss you fiercely... |

Imagine some classic analog instruments, like the CS80, mixed in with some outrageous guitar solos, and the supporting textures of Chapman Stick... And an unmistakable trip hop vibe with blazing loops and mountains of liquid mellotron... More sound previews of the album are soon on the way. |

Latest update: Riptyde is now available for download via mperia.com. The Orange County homegrown studio project continues to get raves (and a rew dismissive rants) from fans and fellow musicians. We're working now on a radio campaign, and it looks like our first pressing may soon be sold out! "Progressive" and "alternative jazz" format radio programs continue to pick up Riptyde for airplay, from LA, to North Carolina, to Philadelphia, to UK college radio. Chris Hoard was recently interviewed on the Gagliarchives radio show, and soon will appear on Jas Shepherd's Forward Motion on LA's political alternative station, KPFK. . We're busy now working on downloads, and our effort to get out the U.S. vote for all those that agree, "It's Time To Move On."
We've had some very exciting feedback from a number of reviewers and happy customers, all who've agreed that Riptyde delivers some sonic undertow at full force, and succesfully blends elements of progressive rock, hip-hop, and jazz into its own unique concoction...
