Holdsworth '84 -- free wallpaper download!

Alternity Records has added two amazing new musical talents to our global roster for 2005 --Jane Getter, who lashes out a sultry blend of jazz, blues, and rock backed by some of the heaviest hitters on the NYC scene in her band, including keyboardist Adam Holzman (Miles Davis, Wallace Roney). And Simeon Harris conjures a unique approach and sound vision from London, as a "textural guitarist" he deftly produces rhythms and ambient motifs that scans the fringes of progressive house and musical documentaries...

Alternity Records has just completed the ultimate
retrospective of Holdsworth's career as a producer of his
own recordings, Against The Clock, a specially priced 26
track, 2-CD set. Holdsworth is widely known for pioneering many new guitar voicings and being incomparable as a
solo improvisor in legendary experimental rock, jazz, and
pop bands such as U.K., Soft Machine, Jean-Luc Ponty,
Level 42, and Gong. He's released fourteen albums as a group leader since 1981, including the 1990 Live in Japan Alternity Records release, Then!

Riptyde is the 2004 debut solo recording from producer
Chris Hoard on keyboards and Chapman stick, and
features a blend of trip-hop and progressive grooves, with
the beats and electronic percussion of Amon Freon, with
guest contributions from rapper 4-Zone, poet Ekow Asare,
and eight tracks with stunning guitar solo performances
by Allan Holdsworth.

The crew at Alternity Records is also working with producer
Mark Gleed toward the completion of
a new album by legendary LA outre progressive rockers, Soma, featuring
Mark Gleed, Tony Levin, Guy Eckstine, and Allan Holdsworth, and special guests to be announced.
